Terms of use

Reviewed 3 October 2026. Plain terms for a site that publishes measurements. If something here reads as though it were written to protect us rather than to inform you, tell us and it will be rewritten.

What this site is

mazetick publishes recorded observations of UK and Irish racing markets, and statistics derived from published race records. Every figure carries the instant it was true. Nothing here is a live feed: pages are built at a point in time and say so.

The site is published by an individual, not a company — the About page says who — and is not affiliated with any bookmaker, exchange, racecourse or regulator.

Not advice, and not a tip

Nothing on this site is a recommendation to bet, a prediction of any outcome, or financial advice. We do not sell selections, and we do not publish a figure because we think it will make you money.

Several of our own published findings are negative — that is, they record strategies that lost money under honest measurement. Those are in Research, with their sample sizes. Read them before assuming any number here supports a bet.

Accuracy, and what to do when we are wrong

The figures are our own count over data we collect and over published race records. We check them, we publish the method, and we still get things wrong. When we find an error we correct it in public and say what changed, rather than editing quietly.

The site is provided as it is, with no warranty that any figure is accurate, complete or current. Collection can fail, a source can change its shape without telling us, and an archive can be thinner in one period than another — where we know that, the page says so. Decisions you take on the basis of these numbers are yours.

If a number here looks wrong, tell us. Corrections to measurements are the most useful thing anyone can send.

Using our figures elsewhere

The content of this site — the measurements, the articles and the derived statistics — is published under CC BY 4.0. Quote it, chart it, argue with it, in public or in print, as long as you say where it came from and link back.

The code that builds the site is MIT-licensed and public.

Two limits, and both are about the sources rather than about us. We are licensed to publish our own derived figures, not to redistribute the underlying feeds: please do not scrape these pages to reconstitute a bulk dataset or to run a feed of your own. And prices shown by a bookmaker or an exchange belong to them, which is why you will not find a price on this site.

At the time of writing this site carries no paid links of any kind — no affiliate links, no advertising, no sponsored content. If that changes, every paid link will be labelled #ad where you can see it before you click, and this section will say so with the date it changed. A label buried in a footer is not a label.

Age and responsible gambling

This site is intended for people aged 18 or over. It discusses betting markets, and betting can cause harm. If gambling is costing you more than money, the help is here: BeGambleAware, GamCare, and the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, free and open at any hour.

Changes to these terms

This page carries the date it was last reviewed, at the top. Changes that matter — a paid link appearing, the licence changing, a new source — will be stated here rather than slipped in, because a terms page that rewrites itself silently is worth nothing.
